As a Marketing Lead at Maliyo Games, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content across various platforms. From blog writing to social media marketing, you will play a key role in promoting our brand, engaging our audience, and driving user acquisition. Your creativity and exceptional writing skills will help shape our content strategy and strengthen our presence in the gaming industry.

From immersive environments to captivating sounds and stunning visuals, our goal is to bring the essence of Africa to the gaming world.


  • Blog Writing: Produce high-quality and engaging blog articles on gaming-related topics. Monitor and track the number of articles written each week for the weekly report.
  • Report Writing: Conduct research and create comprehensive reports on industry trends, market analysis, and user behaviour to support decision-making processes.
  • Editorial Strategy and Support: Collaborate with the communications team to develop a broad-based Editorial Strategy to guide all internal and external communications. Support junior content editors and writers in sharpening their content.
  • Content Strategy Formulation: Collaborate with the communications team to develop a compelling content strategy that aligns with our brand objectives and target audience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling marketing content, including social media posts, blogs, and website copy.
  • Website Copywriting: Work closely with the communications team to craft persuasive and informative copy for our website pages, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand voice.
  • Social Media Marketing: Assisting in creating and scheduling social media posts across various platforms. Run campaigns, manage engagements, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance our social media presence.
  • SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices in content creation to improve search engine visibility and organic traffic.
  • Content Development: Document and transcribe videos and important moments within the company and convert them into written articles for publication. Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in transcriptions.
  • Content Partnership Support: Coordinate with external partners and influencers to maximise reach and drive user acquisition.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and analyse trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging marketing techniques to ensure Maliyo Games remains at the forefront of the gaming industry.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in content marketing, preferably in the gaming industry.
  • Possess a growth mindset, demonstrating a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
  • Proficiency in graphic design is a must. The candidate must possess the ability to create visually appealing and engaging graphics to support various marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in crafting engaging blog articles, reports, and social media content.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience in optimising content for search engines.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media management tools.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and deliver innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and platforms, such as JIRA, Trello, and Airtable.
  • Passion for gaming and a solid understanding of the gaming industry and its trends.
