Office Administrator

Position Summary:

Maliyo Games is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and organized Office Administrator to play an essential part in supporting our operations initiatives across game development, platform, and operations teams, as well as other internal and external partners.

Location: Hybrid

Compensation: Negotiable (subject to experience)

Maliyo is a Lagos-based game development studio that creates African-inspired games for mobile users with over 40 games in our portfolio. Maliyo infuses the continent’s lively culture and experiences into everything we create. Our goal is to embed Africa’s vibrant culture into video games through storylines, character development, immersive environments, captivating sounds, and strong visuals.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain an organized environment in office physically and virtually
  • Update/manage calendars and schedules
  • Data entry, bookkeeping, archive emails and maintain electronic records
  • Coordinate meetings via telephone, email, video platforms and in-person
  • Interact comfortably and effectively with employees of our company at all levels
  • Order office supplies and maintain common areas with items so that they are always well-stocked and free of clutter
  • Facilitate packages and letters
  • Create and send grammatically correct internal/external company communication
  • Monitor and improve office environment to ensure that workplace standards are met
  • Ensure health and safety policies are compliant
  • Update contact information for all staff, vendors, and clients
  • Plan and support company meetings and events
  • Manage vendor relationships

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in an administrative/office management role
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful with strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent at streamlining existing processes, developing new ones, and ensuring that everything is effective and efficient
  • Work requires continued attention to detail, discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with professionals inside and outside the company
  • Technologically savvy with MS Office and Google Workspace proficiency and adaptable to new technology
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Personal commitment to improving your own knowledge and skills with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work with cross-functional teams in-person and remotely
