Google Partners with Maliyo Games to train next generation of Game Developers in Ghana, Kenya & Nigeria

Google, in partnership with Maliyo games, is proud to announce #GameUpAfrica. A 16-week intense game development Bootcamp. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is open to young people living in Nigeria, Ghana, or Kenya. The program takes individuals with a background in computer science and turns them into fully-fledged game developers. While on the course, students will learn the fundamentals of computer language, gaming principles, gameplay mechanics, and succeeding on the app store. Structuring the course into three levels allows students to work at their own pace with mentors on hand to provide comprehensive support.

Upon completion, students will have the skills needed to create popular games such as Match 3, Endless Runners, and Platformers. Both companies are passionate about nurturing and developing the next generation of aspiring developers.
